Simulation on Methanol Reformed High-Temperature PEM Fuel Cell System and the Experimental Verification

Abstract A mathematical model of the SRM-HTPEM power generation system was developed to simulate effects parameters such as temperature and molar water methanol ratio on performance reformer stack in system. The built at a mobile communication base station, energy efficiency 45.5% an output 2.8 kW. correctness simulation results verified by experiments. It finds that increasing reaction decreasing weight hourly space velocity will enhance conversion increase CO content reforming gas. Increasing feed can improve reduce content. However, if is too high, may reduce. Appropriately operating stack, anode hydrogen concentration excess fuel cell.
